I tend to value stocks with a hybrid of value investing (warren buffet's strategy) and looking at earnings as well as trend analysis. Many things allow investors to decide how to invest and who to invest in. The thing that I will say definitely don't do is: do not invest based on past performance. Look at Lehman and Enron for confirmation of that fact lol.
